Who is an Audiologist? 

An audiologist is trained in assessment and rehabilitation of people with hearing disorders. He is also trained to prescribe hearing aids. 

  

What does a speech pathologist do? 

A Speech pathologist is trained in assessment and treatment of children and adults with Speech and Language (Communication) Disorders. 
 
 

Adult Communication Disorders 

  • Speech Problems in adults 

  • Language Disorders in adults 

Childhood Communication Disorders 

  • Speech Problems in children 

  • Language Disorders in children 

 

Some examples of speech and language disorder are – stuttering, selective mutism, dysarthria, apraxia.
