When there is a sudden complete blockage of an artery that supplies blood to your heart, a heart attack happens. This occurs when the coronary arteries which the supply the blood to the heart slowly becomes thicker from a build up of fat, cholesterol and other substances called plaque. When the plaque accumulates in the arteries, condition is called atherosclerosis. When the area of plaque occurs and there is a blood clot formation, a heart attack occurs. Heart attack is an underlying cause of coronary artery disease. 

 

Symptoms of a heart attack: 

• Chest pain or discomfort, heaviness, tightness, pressure in the chest
• Palpitations 
• Difficulty in breathing 
• Dizziness or light headedness
• Nausea and vomiting 
• Fatigue or weakness
• Sweating or a cold sweat
The more symptoms you have, it is likely that you are having a heart attack. 

How to prevent a heart attack? 

• Have a healthy balanced diet 
• Be physically active 
• Avoid smoking 
• Control your sugar level if you are a diabetic 
• Have alcohol only in moderation
• Maintain your blood cholesterol levels 
• Keep your blood pressure at a safe level
• Lose weight if you are overweight 
• Manage stress 
Most of the people can lead an active life after a heart attack. Make some positive changes in your daily lifestyle and adopt a can-do attitude.

eat 1 fruit daily.. drink 5 liters of water .. minimal exercise .. egg 2 daily( for protein) ...
