A "helicopter parent" is a common term used to describe a parent who pays extremely close attention to a child's or children's experiences and problems. Like helicopters, they hover overhead!" The helicopter parent's involvement can extend to their children's academics, extra-curricular activities, the kind of friends they have, sports and every other activity in their lives.

Awesome read! nice suggestions
This is a great article. Many a times, parents tend to even complete the pending homework/projects of their children as they don\'t want their child to face any negative repercussions which in turn makes the child dependent and carefree instead. It is important to understand that instead of being made dependent, the child should be made to feel empowered.
very nice article . Eye opener in some cases
The article is nice. Happy that from being I am not a helicopter parent. Thought we are not helicopter parents but we face challenges from grandparents which they would have missed out on us. I think this article is good read for grandparents also as they tend to pamper their grandchildren.
nice article. enjoyed reading it.

Very Good One.
this is a must, as today's parents focus more on academics instead of child's individual interest like sports and other activities
Forgot to thank you. Thank you 1to1help. Do you also counsel the little one's ?
I am proud of my father he followed these approaches. Personally, I feel very difficult to get attention of my both son one 3 yrs and another 6 yrs. Any article to engage these little ones are really appreciated.
Nice article. It has prompted me to re-think the way we wanted to grow up our kids.
being a father of two grown up sons i have gone thru all this & soon realized my mistake. but it is very painful to see your child failing.let us learn to celebrate failure of our children.
